Program Introduction

Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is known as the Mini-United Nations; it is the only university of its kind in China that specializes in offering Chinese language and culture courses to foreign students. Along with the expansion of China’s International cooperation and exchanges, BLCU has also built tighter and broader connection with the world. BLCU has established partnership with over 365 universities and educational institutions in 72 countries and regions. 

Beijing Language and Culture University 2020 International Summer Course Program will provide dozens of standard qualified credit courses given by the visiting professors from overseas universities together with BLCU teaching faculty. This program offers students a convenient and quick international study mode and creates a new method for international communication and cooperation. All students who apply for this program need to have adequate language skills and learning basis.

According to relevant policies on Coronavirus prevention and control, BLCU needs to be closed with no On-Campus courses, thus all the international summer credit courses in BLCU for 2020 summer will be transformed from offline teaching to online.

2020 Beijing Language and Culture University International Summer Course Program

Course Date: 6th July, 2020 – 7th August, 2020

Course Time: Monday to Friday (please refer to different course arrangements)

Total Course Hours: About 60 hours (course hours)

Teaching Type：Online Teaching by ZOOM

For BLCU Students

By taking the courses at BLCU, you can not only obtain the elective or minor credits, but also enrich the overseas education background, improve the international competitiveness and professional English skills.

Please get the pre-approval by following the enrollment and courses approval process of BLCU Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.

For Non BLCU Students

Students can take one to three courses during summer vacation and transfer the credits back to you home universities when meeting the grade requirements after course. With transferred credits, you will not need to take the same course again and save tuition fees by graduating ahead of schedule.

For non BLCU students，please get the course approval by following the transfer policy of your host institution before class. If you have any further questions, please add the WeChat and ask for help from our cooperation recruit platform LIGHT Global Education Alliance.

3.Tuition & Fees

For BLCU Students

Tuition fees are charged in accordance with the financial regulations of the university, and students need to pay the basic course fees.

For Non BLCU Students

For non BLCU students who need credits transfer, please add the WeChat of our cooperation recruit platform LIGHT Global Education Alliance to get more information.

Application Requirements:

Non BLCU students applying for 2020 Beijing Language and Culture University International Online Summer Program need to meet the requirements below:

•      Excellent performance in both academic and disciplinary areas.

•      GPA 2.0 above.

•      Completing the course approval before class according to the requirements of your home university with the help of the staff from LIGHT Global Education Alliance.

*Subject to the class size restriction and class number limit, application will not open again after full quota, students should pay the fees and complete course authentication before confirming the class sequence.

6th July-8th July 2020         Add/ delete/ exchange class

9th July-7th August 2020      Delete/ exchange class not accepted.

6th August-7th August 2020   Course completion & final exams.
