In 2002, Beijing Language and Culture University and Assumption University (Thailand) co-established the BLCU Bangkok College. It is the only Chinese institution of higher education that offers degree courses, and augments the studies of the candidates for a Bachelor's degree in Chinese with courses on economics and trade. In 2005, the Bangkok College was authorized by Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters) to be a test center of HSK in eastern Thailand. So far, the Bangkok College has established a multi-dimensional, multi-level school management model, cultivating candidates for the Bachelor's degree in Chinese language (with economics and trade) as the main goal, and offering courses for PhD and MA candidates, as well as training Chinese language teachers as the key direction for its future development.  

Establishing overseas branch institutes is one of the key forms for the internationalization of BLCU. We are constantly seeking new partners to trail-blaze the market for branch institutes overseas.
